Laser Dental Care In Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley

"Today I had my first laser scanned filling.  What a good experience!  There was no anesthetic, and no pain, and was over very quickly.  Afterwards, I felt no discomfort.  I sure would do it again!"  Shirley J. - Sherman Oaks, CA
"The laser scanner helped prevent any future root canal that may have occurred.  And the only word I have about air abrasion is unbelievable!  Quick & painless.  Dr. Reifman is the best!"   Yura D. - Encino, CA

The new Diagnodent Dental Laser can detect decay, years before it can even be seen on x-rays, and way before the cavity can begin to hurt.

This laser can also reduce the chance of cracked teeth, future crowns, and root canals!

One of the most important things we do for our patients is to identify and get rid of tooth decay. Since even the smallest spot of decay can threaten the integrity of the entire tooth, finding and filling cavities is the key to preventing further problems of all kinds. Historically, using x-rays and a small dental 'pick' to detect for cavities has been only 50% successful.

For these reasons, Dr. Reifman is using the revolutionary DIAGNODENT Laser Scanner. This high tech dental laser (shown in the picture below) will bounce a laser beam off the tooth. As the laser light is absorbed by the bacteria and the decay, a series of beeps will be heard, telling the dentist and the patient that the tooth has decay. This revolutionary laser technology is allowing dentists, for the first time ever, to detect tooth decay with close to 100% accuracy!

The Diagnodent Dental Laser is a true breakthrough in the high-tech treatment of dental decay

The new  laser scanner, owned by Dr. Reifman, allows him to catch more areas of decay, sooner and with more precision. Furthermore, it requires NO x-rays, and is a comfortable procedure. The laser scanner, quite simply, prevents the spread of decay. Morever, early detection means that cavities are still quite small, requiring only simple, shallow fillings and allowing minimally invasive filling procedures such as drill-free air abrasion.

The laser scanner will often find cavities up to 5 or even 10 years before they would have otherwise been found. The decay can then be removed when they're tiny and very easy to fix. This reduces the chance of future crowns and root canals!  The Diagnodent Laser Scanner is truly a revolutionary way to treat patients before things become serious, and discomforting.
