"We've been patients of Dr. Reifman since he established his practice. He has diligently and enthusiastically kept up with advances in the dental field. He not only has the skill to take on new and approved methods but also has the understanding of the mechanics behind the scientific treatments. A combination of an engineering degree, combined with his dental school education truly makes Dr. Reifman unique in his field. We feel lucky to have him as our family dentist."

Dr. Hanasab (our incredible Periodontist), Velvette (our wonderful Office Manager), Dr. Ed Reifman ('da boss!), Janna (our extremely personable Office Receptionist), Jodie (our gentle Dental Hygienist - her 12th year at Dr. Reifman's office!), and Daniel (our always smiling Dental Assistant).
"When I go to a doctor's office, one of the first things I look for is a friendly and efficient front office. When I went into Dr. Reifman's office, they made me feel comfortable and important, and they were very knowledgeable on present dental procedures. In fact, every time I have an appointment, I feel that attentive feeling, right down from the front desk and dental hygienist to Dr. Reifman himself. Nobody likes to go to the dentist, but if you have to find one, and you like good care, and a positive attitude, this is the office for you." Robin S. - Tarzana, California
Dr. Edward M. Reifman is a native of Los Angeles, California. He received both his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and his M.S. in Biomedical Engineering shortly thereafter, both at UCLA. Dr. Reifman graduated Magna Cum Laude (high honors). For the next two years, he worked at Hughes Aircraft Co. in the mechanical design of the first communications satellites to encircle the Earth. These 'artificial moons' as they were called then, were the forerunners of our current crop of earth-orbiting satellites, which now bounce daily signals to earth for HDTV viewing, radio, skype, global satellite positioning (GPS), and the internet.
In 1974, Dr. Reifman applied to and was accepted to the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he matriculated with a DDS degree in 1978. He did a summer research project on the mechanics of chewing forces, and their effect on the TMJ (jaw joint). He also did important research on the longevity of various dental materials. Upon graduation, Dr. Reifman received an honorary fellowship where he worked for a world renown dental professor in Europe for six months. Upon returning to Los Angeles in 1979, he set up his current private practice in Encino, California.Dr. Reifman has been and is currently a member of the ADA, CDA, and the San Fernando Valley Dental Society. He has been prominently quoted and his picture displayed in Scientific American magazine (1994) in an article on "Nanotechnology" (the science of manipulating matter, one atom at a time). He has also written an internationally-acclaimed chapter entitled "Dentistry in the year 2020" in the best-selling technical science book: Nanotechnology: Speculations on a Culture of Abundance.
His "Visions of the Future: A Timeline of Scientific Events for the next 30 years" has been published in the popular online Nanotechnology Magazine. Dr. Reifman has also been interviewed on television about the following: "How Nanotechnology and Future Science will Impact our Culture", and "The Future of Dental Care in the United States."
Dr. Reifman's interests beyond high-tech dental care include: volleyball, river rafting, nanotechnology, jogging, anti-aging research, cosmology, and the new sport: ski-trikking!

The new sport of Ski Trikking - Dr. Reifman thinks its more fun than skiing!
"I now travel 2 hours each way from Palm Springs to Los Angeles for the opportunity to be in Dr. Reifman's care. For the very first time in 53 years of life I actually look forward to my dentist visits, knowing that it will be painless and produce great, healthful results. Dr. Reifman's expertise and knowledge in the field are absolutely top-notch!" David S. - Palm Springs, CA
